Join the UAMS Schmieding Center for Senior Health and Education for the AARP Smart Driver course! Designed specifically for older drivers, this refresher course covers valuable defensive driving techniques, updated rules of the road,and practical strategies to adjust for normal age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time.

  • Defensive Driving & Safety: Learn practical techniques to handle today’s challenging driving environments safely and maintain independence behind the wheel.

  • Auto Insurance Discount: Course completion qualifies participants for a discount on their auto insurance premiums (check with your insurance provider for details).

  • Class Details: Please bring a sack lunch. Payment is due on the day of class via check or money order payable to AARP ($20 for AARP Members, $25 for non-members).
